Life is filled with questions. We do not have the answer to so many questions that come into our lives. We seek advice from experts, family member, friends, church members, and our pastors. All too often those whom we trust are unable to answer our questions and give us good advice. Most of our questions are not critical. When the questions that we have involve critical situations where do we get an answer? Ultimately, regardless of the circumstances we must make decisions for ourselves.

David was in a life or death situation. David was being pursued by Saul the king of Israel. David was told that the Philistines were fighting against the city of Keilah. David prayed to the Lord before he made the decision to attack the Philistines. The Lord told David that He would give him victory, but the men of David were still afraid. David did not make a hasty decision. Instead, he inquired of the Lord a second time. The Lord once again told David that He would give the Philistines into his hands. David and his men defeated the Philistines.

I can pray before I act. It is not offensive to the Lord that we pray a second time or as many times as we need to in order to have a clear answer from the Lord.

Prayer: We thank you Lord for answering our prayers. Amen.
