“David inquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? And will You give them into my hand? Then the LORD said to him, ‘Go up, for I will give them into your hand’” (1 Chronicles 14:10, NASB).
When I was in seminary the guys would have conversations about their ministries. Sometimes they would be in a place of uncertainty. They were waiting on the Lord to tell them what they should do in their situation. The other guys had encouraging words for them as they waited. They often said, “Pray and wait for the Lord to give you a clear vision.
David had been anointed king over all Israel. Israel was at war with the Philistines. When the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel they searched for him. David was not sure what he should do. David knew that he must seek the assistance and guidance from the Lord. What did the Lord want him to do? What was god’s plan for him and Israel?
David prayed to the Lord. He asked the Lord if he should engage the Philistines in battle. Would the Lord give the Philistines into his hands? David prayed saying, “Shall I go up?” Will you give me victory over my enemy? David did just as god told him to do and defeated the Philistines.
I have a decision to make. I have been writing articles and devotionals for this website since July 15, 2015, approximately seven and one half years. Now I feel like it is time for me to move on. So, until I get a clear vision from the Lord I will cease to write articles for this website. There is an archives section. In the archives section there are more than three hundred articles and devotionals. I will leave this website up. I hope that people will continue to visit this website. I hope that it will continue to bless people.
Prayer: Lord I thank you for seven and one half years of writing for this website. Amen
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
