In life there are times that we feel like we are stuck in the mud. Sometimes it seems like I am not progressing as I think that I should. I think about my past. What if I had done this, and what if I had done that? How different would my life be? Would I have a better life? Was it a mistake for me to have made that choice those many years ago? This is the good news.
Since I have heard the call of God and answered the call I am exactly where God wants me to be. God has a plan for my life. God will get us to the place that He wants me to be so that I will do what He has called me to do. Regardless of the situation that I find myself in, I can always hope. Besides, if things had not taken place as they did I would not be the person that I am today. I would not have accomplished what I have accomplished.
In the Book of Hebrews, the author writes that we do not always get what we envision. The patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob wandered in a foreign land looking for a city that God promised to give to them. The patriarchs and Sarah died in the faith with having received the promise. Faith in God means that we always hope. It means that we died believing that God will make good His promises. So, never give up. There is always hope.
Prayer: Lord, I always have hope because I believe in God. Amen.
