Hebrews 11:32-40 Hebrews 11 is called the hall of fame of biblical heroes that accomplished great things by their faith. These persons are witnesses that we can do great things if we respond in faith to God’s call on our life. Initially, the chapter gives the names of some important persons in Israel’s history and their accomplishments. When the writer gets to verse thirty-two he stops being specific about who the persons are and what they do. He begins to summarize that there are countless persons who remain nameless. These heroes also did great things and their faith is just as strong as that of the named ones. These too will receive something better than what they were promised. Thus, we are to keep the faith regardless of the difficulties of the circumstances that we face. God remembers us and He is faithful to His promises. No one needs to know your name. God does. Prayer: Father in heaven we are thankful that you know us. You remember us. You are faithful to your promises. Let us be faithful to you. Amen.
